Aquarium Berlin, Berlin

The Aquarium Berlin was built in 1913 as part of the Berlin Zoologischer Garten complex. The zoo was almost entirely destroyed in the Second World War. The zoo area was hit by bombs including the aquarium. The damage was restored step by step.
Animals are presented on three storeys. It contains jellyfish, tropical and native fishes, sharks, snakes, reptiles, crocodilians (caimans and gharial), and insects. (We didn’t visit the third floor, where the insects can be found.)
Visitors can purchase only Aquarium or Zoo & Aquarium ticket.

Visit the Aquarium’s website.

We visited Aquarium Berlin in September 2018.
