Blackpool Zoo, Blackpool

 

Blackpool Zoo has an interesting history. Before the zoo was built, the site was an airport. Later it became home for the Royal Lancashire Show. Blackpool Zoo opened in 1972.
We also found a very special exhibition here. The Dinosaur Safari, a walkthrough exhibition featuring models of 32 life-size dinosaurs around a trail, opened in 2005.
